Who is Anthony Prince?
“I am a husband, a father and a pastor – in that order.”
Anthony serves as the Family Ministries Pastor at newhope church, a multi-site church with 10 campuses located throughout the Carolinas with an international campus in Kenya. Anthony is a graduate of Fuller Seminary (MA, Global Leadership; Youth, Family & Culture) and Azusa Pacific University (BA, Theology), both located in sunny Southern California.
Anthony was called to his first position in Children’s Ministry in the Fall of 2000 and has since worked in various sized churches; the smallest with just 50 in a weekend service and the largest having just over 5,000 members. He has been on staff at newhope church since 2016 and, in 2010, Children’s Ministry Magazine named Anthony among the top 20 Children’s Ministry leaders in the nation. Anthony has spoken at various national church leadership gatherings, Christian camps and has served on advisory boards and teams for Forest Home Ministries, Group Publishing and the American Children’s Ministers’ Association. Currently, Anthony serves as a staff consultant for Ministry Architects, a consulting firm specializing in helping churches build lasting children’s and youth ministries.
Anthony and his wife, Christine, were married in the summer of 2006 and they have three children: Carter (2007), Kate (2009) and Vaughn (2012). Anthony and his wife grew up in the small community of Susanville in Northern California where their parents still reside. When Anthony finds time to relax, he enjoys playing and watching sports, reading bedtime stories to his kids and, when he’s on the West Coast, eating Round Table pizza.
